  •   Thank you for looking after us so well on our return from Lourdes during the volcano disruption. Your arrangements for us were fantastic! The coach from Lourdes was excellent and the overnight accommodation was much appreciated. The drivers were excellent and went out of their way to help us and I really appreciate the excellent care.   •   We have just returned from a holiday to Prague, Vienna & Budapest, which we enjoyed immensely. As seasoned travellers we would like to compliment you on the efficiency of the whole trip – transfers, hotels and tours but especially your choice in tour guides. Our guide in Prague, Shakira, was very good. Lazlo in Budapest was excellent in every aspect. He gave 100 percent the whole group loved him.     I recently returned from a holiday in Lake Como courtesy of The Travel Department. I just wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful holiday. I am travelling for the past 22 years and this was by far the best holiday I have ever been on. Lake Como was by far the best place I have visited.   •   I'd like to let you know how much I enjoyed my trip to Thailand. The hotels were fabulous, especially in Hua Hin; it was out of this world! The staff were wonderful – falling over themselves to help us! Our guide made the holiday for everybody. He was very diligent, conscientious and helpful in every area and took a personal interest in everyone, which I really appreciated as I was on my own.   •   I would like to commend the organisation of the trip to Istanbul. My husband and I really enjoyed the experience. The hotel was a very good choice as it was in a central position, good standard and on a lively (but not noisy) street. I would particularly like to recommend the continued use of your guide, Mecit Bogday. He had a wide knowledge of art and history and a good way of imparting it. He had a pleasant, and not intrusive manner, and a good sense of humour. Istanbul is truly a wonderful city.

  •   I wanted to express our complete satisfaction with every aspect of the holiday. It was our first time to travel with The Travel Department and certainly not our last. From the moment we stepped off the plane at Dubrovnik Airport everything was organised most efficiently and smoothly.  Your representative Marlo is most professional and the guides who undertook the day tours, Anada and Bozo, were informative, humorous and most enthusiastic. However, the most memorably thing about our holiday was our guide Marcos. His knowledge, wit, charm and general character made the whole trip the best.   •   Just returned from trip of Rome, Lake Garda and overnight on the Orient Express. It was my first time travelling with you and will definitely be travelling with you again.   •   I have just returned from an amazing holiday in China, the best experience ever. The accommodation, food and transport were second to none. The tour guide,  Noya Ma, was most pleasant and knowledgable, nothing was too much trouble for him.  Because of this great experience I am off to New York in 2 weeks' time, and can't wait to see details of next year's holidays.

  •   I have just returned from Alghero in Sardinia holiday with The Travel Department.  I really need to say that the holiday was spectacular. The guide Laura, the driver Alessandra and the guide Roberto were all great, friendly and gave their best.  Laura left nothing to chance and she mentioned all of the plans and times for the following days on a regular basis. I would certainly travel with The Travel Department again.Thank you to all for a delightful holiday and I would certainly recommend it.

  •   We had the good fortune to take the tour to Jordan. I am pleased to say that it exceeded our expectations. The coach was comfortable and the stops for food and drinks were most enjoyable. Our guide Michel deserves special mention. His knowledge and humour contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the tour.   •   Just back from our trip with you to Estoril. It was our third time there and it was every bit as enjoyable as our first. Our guide, Paula, was first class.  The staff was most helpful and courteous. The day trips were most enjoyable and the extra one to the birthplace of the Fatima seers was special. He got the balance just right, not making us weary with too much information, and our driver was a wonderful careful driver.   •   I am just back from my trip to Egypt and I would like to thank you for everything. It was my first time travelling with the Travel Department and I was impressed with the organisation. Emad Fathy, the tour guide is absolutely fantastic, he has a great knowledge in Egyptology and listening to him explain the Egyptian History was enjoyable and fun. I am still dreaming about my trip.   •   We would just like to thank you so much for a wonderful organised trip.  The Mercure Buda hotel was very nice and the organised trips were excellent. We also had an absolute fantastic guide by the name of Laszlo.  We left Budapest with such a wealth of Hungarian history.  Laszlo entertained us from the moment we got on the coach at Budapest airport until we were dropped off at the airport for Dublin.  Nothing was ever too much trouble for Laszlo and we even enjoyed his Irish jokes! He was such an excellent guide and a great asset to The Travel Department. Again, congratulations to you on doing such a great job and we look forward to travelling with you again.   •   We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Lake Como, St. Moritz and Milan. Our room was looking right out on the lake and we had our own terrace. It was  a perfect location to get boats all over the lake as the boat stopped right accross from our hotel. We went on a day trip to St. Moritz- it had breath taking scenery. This is my third time to travel with this company and hope to go again next year.

  •   Our guide Marcella was brilliant and every member of the group were great. It was my first trip with The Travel Department and I intend there to be many more.   •   I'm delighted to convey my complete satisfaction with your management of the wonderful trip to Jordan & The Holy Land (08-18 November). I travelled solo within the group of forty-four and every moment for me was magical. From the moment we touched down in Amman Airport, The Travel Department Representative was there to steer us through the arrivals and departures process and our tour guide, Mueen (Mo) Akroush worked tirelessly to ensure that our every need was met. By the end of the trip he was everybody's friend and as a regular traveller with your company, I'd like to propose Mueen for consideration as Travel Guide of the Year.   •   This is our 3rd time to use travel Department and I must say they have excelled themselves in our trip to South Africa.  Our guide Tom was like an enclyclopaedia of knowledge about the country.  A gentleman and very curtious to our group. Also the people we travelled with were an amazing group and we all ended up being like a family travelling together.  Our sing song session in Cape Town was a night to remember even the locals joined in!!  Our photographs we always be a happy memory to us.
