Lake Bled lies in the extreme north-west of Slovenia, at the foot of the Julian Alps and between the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka rivers. Bled's scenery is almost impossibly romantic, with a little white church on an island in the center of an emerald green mountain lake. Bled Castle, perched high above and the peaks of the Julian Alps, overlooks the lake. Bled town is also a popular access point for Triglav National Park, Slovenia's only National Park.
