Located in County Clare The Burren is a region whose beauty and mystery would be hard to equal. It is a vast area of gray limestone completely untouched by the modern world, with mountains, caves, streams and valleys in abundance. It is home to megalithic tombs and monuments older than the Egyptian pyramids. Botanists come from all over the world to study the plant life as The Burren is a unique environment that allows plants and flowers, not normally found together in the same country, to share the same rock crevices.
